MVA’s first research conference
On 17th September we held our first ever Research Conference at GOSH, London. It was a huge success and a real milestone event for the Charity with around 65 attendees, and speakers from far and wide – USA, Canada, Japan, France, Spain, and the UK. This feedback pretty much summed up the day – “What a wonderful community of bright and passionate people, all committed to finding answers on behalf of MVA patients.”

The discussions in the room were great, with a fantastic blend of input and insights from patients, clinical, science and the supporting functions that were present (supply chain, packaging, regulatory, pharma and other RD charities).
We were also luck to have Foundation Ipsen launch our new children’s book on MVA at the Conference too. It’s a fantastic publication, and we aim to reproduce it in several languages over the next few months. You can download a copy here.
Huge thanks to all who attended, our excellent speakers and of course our sponsors. A full review can be found here. We are already looking forward to 2027 and what our next Research Conference will bring!
